EWC UT3000 Zone Damper Wiring for 2 wire dampers

EWC zone panel damper outputs have a 100ma (milliamp) max rating for each zone. Most zone damper motors, especially Honeywell 2-wire dampers have a VA rating of 6-8. This equates to a ma (milliamp) draw of approximately  250-300ma, which far exceeds the contact rating of the panel.

To eliminate the need to replace dampers (because the existing dampers are fine) we recommend using a RIB relay on the EWC damper output, to control the damper motor. Using this method may also allow you to use multiple dampers on one zone if needed. Below and attached is a drawing of how to wire the RIB relay to the panel and damper.

NOTE: Recommended 60va transformer.
