New D24V Gateway Now Compatible for Dual Fuel Applications We are pleased to announce the new D24V Gateway accessory, now supporting both air conditioners and heat pumps across our full line of side discharge units – including Daikin, Goodman, and Amana® brand systems. Note that the new D24V Gateway is not compatible with air handlers for side discharge heat pump system applications – only heat pumps with furnaces and communicating evaporator coils for dual fuel applications.

Daikin Launches New R32 Compliant D24V Gateway (Dual Fuel)

Daikin is launching a new R32 D24V Gateway called DTA119A73 (.496761) for dual fuel applications. This new version is backwards compatible with the functionality of the DTA119A71 and DTA119A72. Please refer to the chart below for details.

Background

• A D24V Gateway is needed when connecting any non-communicating gas furnace to a Goodman or Amana brand side discharge system.
• This is the only D24V Gateway that works in an R32 dual fuel application (HP and non-communicating furnace).
• It is designed to work with the new R32 vertical and horizontal coils (CAPEA*3 and CHPEA*3) which feature electronic expansion valves (EEV).

Thermostat Compatibility

This new D24V Gateway is compatible with all thermostats required for side discharge models:

• Daikin ONE family of thermostats
• Amana brand SMART Thermostat
• Goodman GTST Connected Thermostat

Furnace Integration Kit Use Case

A furnace integration kit (AKA Dragonfly) is also needed when matching a non-communicating furnace (existing or new installation) with a new R32 outdoor unit and coil.
